Trying to find more information on the family of my gr.gr.gr. grandmother Johanna Whitaker born about 1803 in Georgia, she was married to Josiah Stallings and they lived in Heard and Carroll county, Ga.. Many of Johanna & Josiah's descendants were Baptist ministers. Johanna was the daughter of Jordan John Whitaker and Catherine Brown, Jordan John was the son of Hudson Whitaker and Susan Thomas, Hudson was a veteran of the Revolutionary war. This family originally came to Georgia from North Carolina and another researcher said that they may have been connected to the Whitakers of Graham and Cherokee co, NC. If any one knows any information on this family, I would appreciate hearing from you.
