LOOKING FOR GREEN DUKE HOUSE FROM VIRGINIA OR GRANVILLE NORTH CAROLINA to HENRY COYNTY, TENNESSEE with son named John B. House (1/22/1797 -6/3/1848) who is buried in Young Cemetery, Henry Co., TN. His son John House lived in Henry County with his wife Elizabeth and they had a son named John B. House (b. in NC 9/14/1815 and d. 9/27/1888 in Lytle, Atascosa, Texas) who moved to Dallas County, Arkansas. I am also trying to find a link with my Jnos(John B. House) who married Mary Elizabeth Reyburn/Reyborn/Rayborn Dec 14, 1847 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with the House family from Warren, Arkansas. My ggrandfather GEORGE HOUSE was enumerated with the John B. House family in Dallas County, Arkansas. Descendants of Green Duke House Generation No. 1 1. GREEN DUKE1 HOUSE was born 1794 in North Carolina, and died 1821 in Bedford County, Tennessee. He married SUSANNA PARKER 20 Apr 1813 in Wake County, North Carolina, daughter of JOHN PARKER and CHLOE LASSITER. She was born 1795 in North Carolina, and died 1854. House of Henry County, Tennessee from Dorotha Reavis, 708 Nichols Drive, West Plains, MO 65775, ph. (417) 256-4755 of West Plains, Missouri. John B. House was born January 22, 1787, died June 3, 1848 and was buried in Young Cemetery, Henry County, Tennessee. His will is dated January 27, 1846. His wife's name was Elizabeth. Names of his children were listed and the names of slaves devised to each child. Division of slaves of John B. House (1787-1848): Wife, Elizabeth -- Eliza, Demps, Mills, Happy, Equillah: Slaves divided among children after Elizabeth's death. Daughter, Sarah House, married ?Stovall --- Gree, Merica (America?) The deed reads as follows: "Know all men by these presents that whereas we whose names are heeunto subscribed are as appeared upon the Record of Deeds in said county tenants in common of the following realty in said County situate and lying to wit: Southwest quarter (SW1/4) of Section 24, Township 8, South Range 16 West and the full S.west 1/4 of Section 19 in Township 8 South Range 15 west containing in the aggregate three hundred and thirty four acres more or less, and whereas we have heretofore made and actual division of said lands and we are now using and occupying it as homesteads separately for which purpose the division was made and now therefore we make unto this the said GREEN D. HOUSE, SLAVE OWNER (owned 2 slave houses) 1 slave, age 30, black male 1 slave, age 25, black male 1 slave, age 13, black male 1 slave, age 20, black female 1 slave, age 30, black female 1 slave, age 7, black male 1 slave, age 5, black male 1 slave, age 1, black male Names of the slaves are not listed. However, John B. lived between other slave owners, G.L. Bluckwitte (unsure of spelling) who owned 2 slaves and S. W. McGhee who owned 17 slaves.
