Need info on Elizabeth PHILLIPS, who MIGHT have been the sister of Elisha Phillips. All of these people are descendants of Reuben Phillips, bc 1720 in Cecil Co., MD. One Elizabeth Phillips was my g-g-grandmother. She was related to Sewell Phillips and lived on his property for about 40 years. Sewell was the son of Elisha Phillips and Clarissa Evans. (Elisha was the son of Adam Phillips and Hannah Bailey.) Adam Phillips and Hannah Bailey had the following children: Eli A., Elizabeth, Elisha, Mary Ann, Catherine and Hiram. I'm not sure that this Elizabeth was my g-g-grandmother. But all these Phillips lived in Buncombe Co., NC, but by 1832, Elisha was living in Haywood County. Does anyone have ANY information on the Elizabeth Phillips (from this clan) who was born circa 1810 in SOUTH Carolina? This Elizabeth married an Irishman named Tom Jordan. Their first child, Emaline, was born in NORTH Carolina circa 1835. From this time forward, Elizabeth lived on the property of Sewell Phillips. Adam Phillips (father of Elisha) had two brothers who lived in Buncombe Co., John and William. I do not know if they also moved to Haywood Co. Grateful for ANY info you might have on any one of these people, Karlene
