In 1900 William was in NC Warren Co., Smith Creek. Listed as a brother in law to A G Hayes.
In 1910 he was in VA Mecklenburg , La Crosse as the son in law of M W Tanner and married to Tanner's adopted daughter Janie Sue.
In 1920 William and Janie were in NC Vance Co., Henderson City with a daughter Mary.
In 1930 William and Janie were in the same place still with one child Mary S.

William Perry Gholson died 30 Dec 1965 Dabney, Vance Co., NC
Janie Farrar Gholson died 19 Apr 1954 Henderson, Vance Co., NC
William's parents were William P. Gholson and Mollie B. Lambert.
Janie's parents are listed as Robert C. Farrar and mother unknown.
There was a Robert C. Farrar and wife Sue in in Mecklenburg, Boydton, VA in 1880. Since Janie and William were in Mecklenburg in 1910 and had been married 5 years at that time this Robert and Sue may be her parents.
