Mary McKinnon married McLeod -- help!

I am looking for the family of Mary McKinnon who married John (or Angus?) McLeod and emigrated to North Carolina in the early 1800's (probably 1802). Whether my McLeod ancestor met Mary McKinnon in Scotland or in North Carolina is not known but Scotland is the current opinion on the matter -- implying they came over as a family group. Most of this family is connected with Raeford, Hoke County, NC --old Sandy Grove Presbyterian Church -- and there is a second branch that went to Clio, Marlboro County, SC.

Children of this couple were:

1) John O.-- single and stayed in NC

2) Norman -- moved to Clio, SC (Marlboro County)

3) Lauchlin John (B:1812)-- stayed in Quewiffle township in Cumberland County, NC and married in 1846 #1) Mary Ann McLeod -- daughter of "Sailor" Murdoch McLeod and Effie McInness and she died in childbirth in 1848. He remarried wife #2) in 1853 Effie Wilson. All members of Sandy Grove Presbyterian Church in what is now Ft. Bragg, NC

4) Murdoch -- stayed in North Carolina and married Annie Katherine McLeod.
5) Mary -- briefly moved to SC to live with family but returned to NC.
6) Nancy -- moved to Marlboro Co, SC near Clio
7) Christian

Any information on the above family would be GREATLY appreciated. I have reached a brick wall in my research long ago. I want to verify Mary McKinnon's marriage to my John or Angus McLeod and learn more about both the McKinnon and McLeod families involved. Please help! Thanks.
