EASTWOOD family in Hyde Co., NC

I am researching the EASTWOOD family in North Carolina. There were at least 2 branches in the 1700s & 1800s, one in Granville Co. and one in Hyde Co. Both families used the same given names repeatedly so they were probably related but I have not found the missing link. Israel and Lewis are among the names used many times. There was an Israel Eastwood living in both counties at the same time (at least by the 1790 census). One researcher has theorized that the Israel Eastwood in Hyde Co. was the son of the Granville Co. man but we have no proof one way or the other.

If you know anything about the Hyde Co. group, please speak up!

Many thanks in advance,
