Gaffney Ledger Jan. 20, 1911. {Gaffney, S.C.} TAR HEEL FARMER KILLED January 12- R.E. RUDACIL, aged 40, a prosperous farmer of Iredell county, boarded an eastbound Southern passenger train at Hickory this afternoon and was instantly killed in attempting to get off the rapidly moving train at Elmwood, his home, where the train makes no stop. His head struck the rail, breaking his neck and death was instantaneous. The body was picked up and taken to Salisbury, where an axamination of his effects for identification developed the fact that MR.
