In the 1910 census for Iredell Co., NC, Dewitte Brown, age 27, married 3 years, is working in a factory. His wife, Lottie, age 26, states she gave birth to 1 child, has been married 3 years. Child, Evelyn, is age 2 in this census. Could the name of Lottie's husband actually be Dewitte Roderick Brown? I'd check that and see where it leads.
