Need help in research for the parents of Nancy BEATY, born in Rowan County, NC ca 1808, wife of John HUGHES (1804-1891) of Iredell County, NC. She is listed on the 1860 US CENSUS with John and children, but is not listed with John on the 1870 US CENSUS (both Iredell County). She bore seven children: Huggins (son), and daughters Mary A., Margaret T., Martha R., Elizabeth Caroline, Nancy Teresa, and Sarah Emaline.
