Searching for Heatons from N.C. My gr-grandmother was Elizabeth Heaton b: 1825. She was full blooded Cherokee and I've been told that she was born on the reservation in N.C. I have seen no official proof of this. She lived in South Carolina when she was married to my gr-grandfather William P. O'Shields. Think that she was taken back to N.C. for burial. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
