Thank you very much for your reply. As always your knowledge of the families of Johnston County has straighten out some of my misconceptions. I started to send you an email of what I posted, but know you are very busy answering people's queries about their family histories. You have helped me out greatly in the past and I thank you for taking the time to once again point me in the right direction. Yes, finding and contacting a descendant of Urias Johnson would be a good solution. I do have a perfect dna match with a Johnson who showed the g grandfather, William Elize Johnson being born in 1872(Illinois) and the gg grandfather, James Irvin Johnson being born in 1841(Illinois). At first I thought this could be the Urias Johnson branch, but the 1880 census shows James Irvin Johnson's father as being born in Ga.(his mother was born in Tenn.). The only Johnson I found living in Illinois that was born in Ga and would fit James Irvin Johnson's father was a Moses Johnson, born 1812. Moses Johnson's father is listed as being born in NC. I will continue researching this line. Thanks for the information concerning the use of "Jr.". That now makes sense. And your information about Fanny (daughter of Joel) was a plus. Yes...I agree, knowing if the Obed line posted by the individual in the DNA project is proven is a much. Unfortunately this person has not responded to my email concerning her genealogy. Mark again thank you for giving me more information to chew on.
