Hi Robin,

You may already have this, but here (see below) are some deeds where Orrs are mentioned. I'm afraid there's nothing specific for the Robert Orr you're looking for, but perhaps this will help.

John Rice and Joshua Sugg (mentioned in the deeds below) are my ancestors (John Rice married Abigail Sugg, daughter of Joshua Sugg).

Deed Book H, Page 222. Samuel Orr of Wake Co., planter, to William Nutt of same, planter, Feb. 23, 1788, for 5 pds. A tract of 175 acres on the north side of Robert Orr’s Mill Branch adjoining George Pool , Aaron Suggs, William Hutching, and William Sanders’ former line. Wit: Elijah Hendon, Joshua Sugg, Sam’ll Raynorth. The deed also signed by Mary Orr.

Currency a tract of 325 acres on Orr’s Mill Branch adjoining Aron Suggs, Saunders, and Robert Orr, which land was part of a grant to Samuel Orr from the State of N.C. by deed bearing date April 4, 1780. Wit: Jno. Rice

On 3 February 1778 a five year old female, Winny Jones Hubbard was bound to him (Joshua Sugg) and in December of 1780 he (Joshua Sugg) was guardian to Robert Orr, orphan of John Orr.
