Parkers in Jones County circa 1820 - 1870

Looking for names of ANY Parkers living in or around BEAVER CREEK, Jones County, NC abt. 1820 - 1880. My 3rd ggfather, LEMUEL PARKER, age 50, (white,) and wife Elizabeth disappeared from BERTIE COUNTY census after 1860. A Lemuel Parker, age 60, (black,) showed up on the 1870 JONES COUNTY census with wife, "Cylla," along with a black family who were said to be "helping on farm." Thought maybe my Bertie Co. Lemuel Parker might have been hiding from post-Civil War problems in Bertie and fled to Jones.??? I've another Bertie Co. court document stating he was "appearing to be dead" in 1869. No other Lemuel Parkers in any other states fit, in 1870. Any Parker families in Jones Co. appreciated. Been on this 3 years. Thanks for reading.
