hello in a research quest yesterday i found more information at lenoir co, community college library.
frank jarman--born 10-15-1888 died 12-9-1934 onslow co, buried at riley oaks cemetery.
in a book on weddings from 1850 thru 1920 the following names came up:
1. frank jarman age 21 intended wife cattie craft age 20. both from jones co, n.c. name of justice of peace, j.r. askew date of marriage 5-17-1910. place of marriage j.r. askew home. names of witnesses to marriage a.l. rhodes, anne askew, furnney jarman. marriage liscense issued 5-7-1910.
INFORMATION ON LEMUEL JARMAN'S #2 MARRIAGE
2. lemuel "lem" jarman age 45 intended wife. rebecca GANUS age 30. both from jones co, nc. date of marriage 2-20-1879. place of marriage r.j.r. hatch's home. name of minister benjamin brock jr. witnesses to marriage w.h. southerland, john h. southerland, d.g. marshburn. marriage liscense issued 2-19-1879.
3. j.l. jaraman age 30 intended wife hester king age 17. both residents jones co, nc. date liscense issued 5-7-1910. minister g.w. harrison. date of marriage 12-12-1903 at ben kings home (brides parents home.) witnesses to marriage b.r. harrison, zeb jones, p. morton.
4. charlie jarman age 19 intended wife bertie martin age 16 both from jones co, nc. date liscense issued 11-17-1911. justice of peace preformed marriage name w.j. hargett. date of marriage 11-19-1911. place of marriage chinquapin township, jones co. witnesses to mariage were l. dillahunt, j.r. westbrook, j.b. eubanks.
lemuel "lem" jarman's first marriage was to manda alphin in 1854 and they had 6 children. his marriage to rebecca ganus produced 1 child. first marriage was in onslow co, nc. 2nd marriage was jones co.
