Judge Alexander W. McIver 1890's

I am trying to find relatives or a location for Judge A.W. McIver of Caldwell or Belton, Texas & also in Lee County, NC. I am related to the George Maner (Maynor) mentioned in the newspaper article shown below:
The Carthage Blade newspaper, North Carolina, for Feb. 20, 1890:
Off for Texas ~ Ex Judge A.W. McIver of Caldwell, Texas, who is visiting here, has employed and sent to his home in Texas three of our county's promising young men. Messrs. Duncan Fagan, Geo Maner, and Thomas Frye. Mr. Fagan will superintend Judge McIver's mother-in-law's farm, and the other two will work with the Judge. We regret to see our boys leaving, but wish them prosperity and happiness.
I ALSO FOUND THE FOLLOWING REFERENCE TO A Caldwell, Texas newspaper item of November 26, 1897: Judge McIver went to Belton to visit his wife and daughter.
WOULD LOVE TO EXCHANGE NOTES! Sandra in Durham, NC
