Dear Leona--Hope we can help each other. I have an Aaron Oliver who married Penny Wood in Wake County, NC in 1815. From censuses, it appears they lived soon after in Moore County (the part that is now Lee). From Moore County, they migrated to the Georgia/Alabama area where their descendants live today. I don't know much about my Olivers. I have hit a stone wall trying to connect them with Olivers or Woods in NC. However, I believe that Aaron may have been a brother to Reuben Oliver who married Betsey Wood in Wake County, just about the same time that Aaron & Penny married. Reuben also lived in Moore County later. If any of this strikes a chord with you, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks so much, Sheila Oliver Coupland
