James Archibald "Archie" McBryde & Mary Ann Oats McBryde/McBride, late 1800s

Looking for more information on James Archibald "Archie" McBryde and his wife, Mary Ann Oats McBryde. Tombstones at White Hill Presbyterian Church in Lee County say:
J. A. McBryde
b 4 May 1833
d 11 Mar 1902

M. A. McBryde
b 6 Aug 1834
d 10 Mar 1902

Does anyone have access to any obituaries from local papers at the time? I know that Mary Ann Oats McBryde was the daughter of William Young Oats and Martha Patsy Cole of Moore County, but I have been pounding a *really* big hole in the brick wall trying to substantiate parentage for Archie for quite some time now. The family lived in Harnett County in 1860, then Moore County in 1870 and 1880 (haven't located in 1900 yet). I am also trying to find out what their connection to the Mashburns might have been. In 1860 there is an A. S. Mashburn age 19 living with them, and there is an Archibald McBryde, age 16, living with Thomas and Dorothy Mashburn in 1850 in Cumberland County, from which Harnett was formed in 1855.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
Karen Dutton
