Archibald Brown & Agnes Drake? from western Scotland, in Chatham County, NC by 1775, lived on Lick Creek (now in Lee county) Son Andrew Brown, Sr married Mary Mclaughlin. Their son Andrew Brown, Jr. married Nancy Williams Hinton Minter.Andrew Jr had a twin, Alexander, both born 1803. Whatever happened to Alexander? He seems to disappear early. These Browns also married into BREWER, McCORMICK, DYE, KELLY, HARRINGTON, PARHAM, WICKER, RIVES, CROSS, THOMAS, HUGHES, GUNTER, MARKS, SALTER, BRANTLEY
