My grandfather's brother was Jesse Lawrence Harper. My grandfather was Franklin Harper and their father and my great grandfather was Stephen H. Harper who married (1)Nancy Hainey and (2) Mahala Morgan. All were born in Edgecombe County, NC. There was a Jesse Harper, Jr. and Jesse Harper, Sr. in Lenoir County, NC. Does anyone know of a Harper-Lawrence family connection in Lenoir County? I am beginning to believe we may be connected to Harpers in Lenoir County. Please reply.
