I don't think I have posted here before, but my mother's family is from Madison County. She is a descendant of John Wesley Allen and Sofina Ramsey. Their daughter, Eva, is my grandmother. I have started transcribing the 1860 Madison County census. So if you have questions about this or any other census records about 1860 or after, I can do lookups. But I having some problems reading the names. If I post these names here, is there someone who help decipher them or is there someone who can proofread what I transcribe? I have already transcribed the 1860 Polk County, NC census, and I had no problems with that.
This census is not so readable.
I am hoping to do a few pages each day, so I hope to have the census done by the end of March.

Reply to me here or personally at my email address spysheep201@yahoo.com.
