Sofina Tinnie ”Fina” Ramsey, born on November 2, 1876 in Madison County, NC, died on April 10, 1961, in Buncombe County, NC, was the daughter of Woodward William Ramsey and Rebecca E. “Reba” Treadaway. Sofina married on March 6, 1892 in Madison County, NC to John Wesley Allen, born on February 10, 1873 in Madison County, NC, died in March 15, 1950. John was the son of Adolphus Erwin Allen and Sarah Emmeline Ramsey. John and Sofina were the parents of Eva Allen, Nettie Lee Allen, Claude Allen, Woodard Hampton Allen, Andrew Allen, Grady H. "Ted" Allen, Anna Belle Allen, and Arther "Ott" Allen. Both John Wesley Allen and Fina Ramsey Allen are buried in the Walnut Cemetery in Madison County, NC.
