Denise,

I was wondering if you could check the heritage book for Madison County for Catherine Barnes, widow of Henry Harvery, mother of Christopher Columbus, William Anse, John,Polly, Rachel,James? I am trying to pinpoint Catherine's residence and date of death. She was on the 1900 census in Madison County with Columbus and his family. John and Polly were also with her. I haven't been able to find her on 1910,1920 censuses. She was born approximately 1826. She is believed to be buried in Barnes Valley. Catherine was a Caldwell and I believe a sister or other close relative of Fannie Caldwell Barnes wife of Thomas. Thomas was Henry's executor, so probably was also his brother or other close relative. Catherine was in Cocke County, TN in 1880 census.
any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Judy Medley
