Need help with a birth record

I need the help of someone who is familiar with where to find the year 1900 birth records in Madison Co. N.C. if they are available. My mother, Buna Mae Pierce (Jones), was born October 10, 1900 in Hot Springs. Her parents were Lee Pierce and Lockie Adeline Cogdill (Pierce). I would be interested to find any information recorded about her parents, especially Lee Pierce. His birth date, place of birth and parents are unknown to us. I would greatly appreciate if someone would do a lookup next time they are at the courthouse and post back on this board or e-mail me. Thank You
