I found the name of Zachary Taylor Cogdill's first wife. Her name is Josephine Garner and they were married on Oct. 9, 1872 in Bedford Co.,Tenn. according to the Bedford Co. Court Recs. Now it raises a question about when they went to Texas. I have Tennie their dau. born in Bell Buckle, Texas in 1875 but Bell buckle is in Tenn. If they were in Texas in 1873 according to his statement on the pension recs. then Tennie couldn"t have been born in Tenn. but in Texas. Do you have any ideas ? I have alot of trouble finding him in the census. Only been able to find him in the 1920 and 1930 Census. By the way the marr. rec. was listed under "Z. Taylor Cogdell". Do you know if Mariah, his mother ever remarried ? I have a birth of 1810 but I don't think that is right. Can you clear that up ?
