Thanks to your reference to Bell Buckle, Tn (Bedford co.) I was able to find the marriage record for Zachary's first marriage. He married in Bedford Co., Tn on Oct. 9, 1872 to Josephine Garner. It is recorded in the County Court Records under "Z. Taylor Cogdell". Most of the information I have came from Onie Lee Beck who is the daughter-in-law of Tennie Cogdill. Onie was in her 80's when the information was taken; although she remembered alot; not all of it was correct.
Tennie married Thomas Jefferson Beck and their son, Thomas Taylor Beck married Onie Lee Kitchens. Thelma Lee Beck, their daughter, married Wm. Eugene Copeland, I married their son,, Wm. Thanks for the information on the Cogdill Book. I will see about obtaining a copy.
We live in Oklahoma and about 45 minutes from Texas line.
I am also tracing the Couch, Kitchens, Beck, Copeland, horner Families. If you need anything looked up in Oklahoma let me know. Thanks again for all your help.
