I am seeking information on the Day Family of Martin or surrounding area. William Daniel Day born 1832 in Martin county moved before the War to Houston county, Ga. In 1892 he erected a monument to his father, M G Day and mother Sarah. Also to a brother, J H Day. No more is known of his family except it is said that he had a sister named Drupiney who married Edward Jackson 7/28/1859. W D Day had relatives who settled in Houston county Ga. Aunt and Uncle Jesse and Elmina Cooper who are listed in the 1850 Houston county census. It was thought that he traveled to Ga with them but is not listed in the same census with them or any other family. He enlisted in the War in 1862 and married MaryGordon in 1869. Perhaps someone with access to the 1830 or 1840 Martin county census can help
