I am seeking more information on William O'Cain that lived in Martin County, NC and later migrated to Marion County, SC.He was born ca 1765. The 1790 census records show him to be over 16 yrs of age, married and living in Halifax Dist. Martin County,NC. In his household in 1790, were 1 male under 16 yrs old and 3 females which included his wife.
On the 1800 census of Martin County, NC,there is an Elizabeth O'Cain a widow 45+ yrs, living alone. Next to her on this census was William O'Cain, John O'Cain, and Thomas O'Cain. Were they Elizabeth's "Betty" sons? Was she the widow of Daniel O'Cain a Revolutionary War soldier? There has been clues but no proof of Daniel being the husband of Elizabeth.
I have information on William O'Cain's life after he arrived in SC. If anyone has more on his parents or siblings I would appreciate it very much!
