Laura Jane Wilkerson was born 16 June 1884 in Polk Co, NC
(another posting on the same site shows her to be born in Gaston Co., NC). It shows her death as 17 Jan 1961 in McDowell Co., NC and buried in City Cemterery in Marion.

It shows her father to be Bailey Bruce Wilkerson, born 21 Apr 1849 in Montford's Cove in Rutherford County, and lists her mother as Katie Nichols Hyder, born 1 Sep 1857 in Rutherford Co. Her first husband is shown to be Raymond Lewis, born in Of, NC. Her second husband is listed as Oliver P. Smalley, b 8 Jan 1859 In Polk Co., NC.

Children listed are Pearl Smalley, born before 1911 in NC, and Claude H. Smalley, born 5 Jan 1911 in Of, NC.
