Mrs. Catherine E. Hall, Long County Resident, Dies

Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Hall, a resident of Fremont county for wall over half a century, died at 3:12 Friday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Runkle of 629 East 2nd street, Florence.

Her passing followed an illness of two months, and she had been critically ill for two weeks. A month ago, Mrs. Hall moved from 104 Greenwood avenue, Canon City, to be wih her daughter.

She was a widow of the late Francis Hall, widely-known Four Mile and Upper Beaver distrcit rancher who died in May, 1926.

Eighty-four years of age, Mrs. Hall was born in McDowell county, North Carolina on March 2, 1865. She moved to Fremont county as a young woman. She and Mr. Hall were married on February 22, 1882.

Mrs. Hall lived in Florence for a time after Mr. Hall's death, moving to Canon City to make her home four years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Florence and had belonged to various women's groups in her younger years. She was widely known thruout Fremont county and was held in high esteem by her scores of friends.

Surviving sons and daughters are Mrs. Hettie Curtis of Four Mile, Mrs. Lexie Curtis and Mrs. Annie Dilley of Canon City, Mrs. Runkle of Florence, George of Wetmore, John of Lincoln Park, Amon of Denver and Frank of Richland, Wash. Other members of her immediate family are two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Lincoln of Portland, Colo., and Mrs. Mattie Morgan of Marion, N. C.; a brother, Charles Lackey of Garden Park; 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

The body of Mrs. Hall is in care of the Holt mortuary of Florence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
