Hello, I am researching Sgt. Joseph C. Finch, B-17 gunner with the 569th Squadron / 390th Bomb Group / 8th Air Force during World War Two. Sgt. Finch was from Old Fort, North Carolina and joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1940. He was stationed at several training bases in the states before he was deployed to station 153 in England, February 1944. After arriving in England, Sgt. Finch flew 34 missions with the 569th Squadron, March to May 1944. After completing his missions, Sgt. Finch soon left the service, returned to North Carolina and married Lillian Cuthbertson. Any help in researching this 390th Bomb Group veteran would be greatly appreciated. I will reply to any and all e-mails.
