Mr. Ed Gaddy, Sr., 79, of Charlotte died unexpectedly Sunday, October 29, 2000 at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, 4431 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail. Interment will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday for the hour prior to the service.
Mr. Gaddy was born February 17, 1921 in Wingate to the late Brady Lee and Wilma Gaddy. He was a kind and loving father who leaves behind many cherished memories.
His survivors include four sons, Edgar Gaddy, Jr., of Charlotte, William B. Gaddy of York, SC, Victor J. Gaddy of Charlotte, Phillip Ray Gaddy of Charlotte; three daughters, Joyce Gaddy Kirby of Great Falls, SC, Pamela Kay Gladden of Charlotte, Wanda Darlene Forbes of Charlotte; one brother, Joe Lee Gaddy and his wife, Frankie of Monroe; and by his beloved 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home.
