Evelina Peters, the wife of the Dr. George Peters who killed General Van Dorn is buried in the Polk Cemetery in Hardeman County. Do you have any idea where her daughter, Clara is buried? She lived with her father and his wife, Jessie McKissack in Spring Hill, Tennessee during the Civil War. She reportedly was sent to a convent in 1864 when she was around 15 or 16. I can't find her in any census after 1850. Can you please help? thanks
