I am trying to find any information on my great, great, great grandfather John Vaughn (Vaughan). He was married to a Susannah. He fought in the War of 1812. I recently got his military record from the NARA (or what little of it that there was). According to the records, he lived in Rockingham, North Carolina, when he entered the War of 1812. I am trying to find any information on his parents. He was born 1794 June 8 in North Carolina. He died around 1856 in Franklin County, Illinois. Any help would be appreciated because I am up against a wall right now. Thank you!!!
