Hello,
I am still searching for George W. Deaton, born 1860 NC, married Anna L first then Lydia Pittman second, about 1904 in NC. George died in 1933, Roberson Co,NC.
In 1900 he was living in Charlotte, NC with Anna and his children Pearl, Charlie, Raymond and George.By 1910 he was remarried and living in Roberson County with Lydia and then had more children, Lewis,Daisy, Hoyt and Thomas.
I cannot seem to find any information or records on him pre-1900. I have checked NC death records, census, etc.
There was one George, born about 1859, son of Levi Deaton (b.1827)living in Rockingham, Richmond Co NC but when I checked the 1870 census for this family George was not found, he would have been about 10 in 1870.Same for the 1860 census(he may have been less than a year old then.)
I have researched his children up and down the trees but still cannot find George.
Can anyone think of what I should do next? I have never hit a wall like this before.Help!
