Pendleton, Anderson County is in South Carolina. There was a marriage there between a David Hamilton Fraser and a Mary "Polly" O'Barr sometime before 1845. South Carolina did not start recording marriages until around 1920.

"Polly" is the nickname for Mary. This may not be the marriage you're looking for, but there are a lot of similarities here. At any rate, you want to look in SOUTH Carolina. Good Luck.
