Sawyer family, HELP!

I am looking for information about my great-grandfather Sawyer. My grandfather was Rodney Warren Sawyer, Sr. My great-grandfather Sawyer was married to a woman with the last name Clayton, may have been Elizabeth (Lizzie) W. Clayton. According to 1900 census my grandfather, Rodney Sr., was born in Aurora, North Carolina and living in Beaufort County with his Clayton grandparents. I have information about the Claytons, I am looking for information about the Sawyers.
