thank you again. i now have a copy of the death certificate. i believe that the Ven was a typo error. the V is next to the B on the keyboard and i have confirmed that geandfathers name was Benjamin Travis Savage.i also think that if a person could see the actual entry on the 1880 census for B F Savage they might determine if the F is actually a T instead. these, then, could be Bens parents. i dont have any way to do that and am not sure it can be done. Bens Mother was Altheia or possibly Ophelia Knight., NC. i do appreciate all your help. thanks again
