Seeking info on James Blackwood b. Sept. 18, 1781 possibly in Orange Co. or Iredell Co., NC. and married July 6, 1810 in Clark Co., IN. to Sarah Ann "Sallie" Holmes. James died in Jackson Co., IN. Wife Sallie was born c1780 in Sussex Co. DE. and died in Jackson Co. Need parents of James Blackwood in NC. Found James as early pioneer c Fall of 1810 near Vallonia, IN. and serving in Capt. Joel Coombe's Co., 2nd Regt., Indiana Militia of Clark County in 1812.
Their children were: Ira, Mary, Theresa, Julia Ann, Selina, and Melissa. An unidientified James Blackwood and William Blackwood appear in the 1810 KY. Census, both gbetween the ages of 26 and 45. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
