I am looking for the mother of Nancy Mashburn Peterson (1816-1893) who had a sister Mahala, who married Spencer Barnett. They lived near or on Pigeon Roost. Their father was James Mashburn, who might have been from McDowell County. His wife (their mother) was Dorothy ________, and her surname is what I need. Thanks!
