I've been trying to find information about the Turbyfill Cemetery for some time. Does anyone know if it has a different name? I know my ggggg grandparents William B. Buchanan and Elizabeth Jones are buried there. I'm assuming that some of their children are also buried in this cemetery.
I'm trying to find burial information on the following children of William and Elizabeth:
1. Mary Jane Buchanan, born 10-20-1794, in Rutherford, Burke or Mitchell County. She died before 1860. She was married to John Burleson on April 13, 1812.
2. George B. Buchanan, born 11-26-1795, in Rutherford, Burke or Mitchell County. He married a Sarah Pitman or Sparks. Death date unknown.
3. William Greenberry Buchanan, born 4-19-1799, in Rutherford, Burke, or Mitchell County. He married Mary Burleson on 8-8-1821. He died 5-13-1876, in Mitchell County.
4. Anne Buchanan, born 3-2-1802, in Rutherford, Burke or Mitchell County. She married Aaron Green abt. 1820. She died in 1829, in Rutherford, Burke, or Mitchell County.
Does anyone know if there is a listing of individuals interred in Turbyfill, either on-line or some place that I can write to for a copy of the grave sites?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
