Hi,
For anyone interested my grandmother Cora Belle Hensley Haney was a midwife in the Yancey County & Mitchell County North Carolina areas, I have some of her records still I have a listing of the names in each book, if you are looking for a family member and would like to have a midwife's record of their birth I will gladly send you a copy of the list of names I have.
Some of the names may not be exact I tried figuring out the names some of them are hard to read.
You can email me at celticwinefairy21@yahoo.com if you would like for me to send you the list.
Then if you want any records tell me which book its located in and what number person you wish to have.
These are very interesting documents.
Book #1 has 15 people in it Book #2 has 47 people it also repeats some of the one's from Book #1, Book #3 has 8 people in it and the last book Book #4 has 40 individuals.
