CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS BRICKWALL. Richard Parish b. 1774 was married to a Margaret with the last name that I think might be Herring. She had a daughter b 1803 Sara Eliz Parish (later became a Byrd after marriage in FL to a Dr. Byrd) and a son William Glover Paris b 1800 (later married Annie King sister to VP Rufus King). Richard then married Dorothy McGee (who was married before) One of their several children was Julia Jane b 1820. Richard and Dorothy moved to FL abt.1825. His lineage is Richard, mother Mary Miller and father Joel Paris b abt 1731, his father Joel b 1700 d. 1791, his father Samuel b 1670 in Ct., his father John b. 1641 in CT, his father Thomas b 1613 MA Margaret died between 1803 and 1820 (looking at births of children) She is mentioned in New Hanover NC in the will of Dorcus (Is this a male or a female??) Herring as a sister Oct. 22, 1799 as Margaret Parish. Dorcus also mentions a brother John Herring in his/her will. Witnesses Elizabeth Anders, ? Robinson, and William Corbett. Her father, John Herring died in 1791 and the estate was divided in court between children Margaret, Dorcus, and John. In 1791 Enoch Herring was their guardian. In 1796, Stephen Anders is appointed the guardian of Margaret Herring. Margaret is mentioned in signing a deed from Richard Parish to his brother Joel in New Hanover. Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED.
