Wilmington Rev. War Participants "Battle of Drowning Creek"

My Capt. John James (Society of the Cincinnati Patriot) was killed age 16 by Tories, whilst "crossing the Lumber River". I suspect this was the "Battle of Drowning Creek" at the edge of today's Fort Bragg military reservation. His widow, Mrs. Martha Pugh James, wed Ephraim Sholar of Duplin Co. Seek the names of other Wilmington participants at the Battle of Drowning Creek. James A. Miller, Jr., 4978 N. Hampton Dr., Southport, N.C. 28461-7420.
