your ref looking for a birth/adoption. you are in the right place new hanove county name for the british monarchy who had somebody making th uion th house of hanover,

so in 1749, royal governor johnston incorpated the city naming it wilmington in honor of friend the earl of wilmington, can't think of his name now. lost a gear in the brain transmissionlink!

this is a long winded note to say you are in new hanover county nc remember the is hanover county in VA

maybe this will help in letting you know you are in the right county, now since there nine wilmingtons in this country, are yu sure yu have correct wilmington now..thought i would give an inforation tid bit.
