Dear Virginia, Thank you so much for your post. With the Deed Book and Page numbers I'll be able to purchase both from the NC State Archives. I greatly appreciate this; it is quite difficult to come across deed book & page numbers. I'll ad both to the bottom of my list - though I'm fortunate that my once long list now has but 2 Wills and 2 estate documents remaining. Also thank you for the mention of Henry Vinson versus Henry Vernon. It would seem a good clue that Sarah would be Henry's wive. I shall pull my will copy and relook at Henry's surname. Again, thank you so much for your thoughtful response. Mary I'm a Haynes researcher (Mary Haynes married Allen Jones) & the first mention of a Moody is through the 1746 Will of Thomas Haynes of Warwick Co., VA "I give devise and bequeath unto my SON RICHARD HAYNES all my lands in White Oak Swamp in Prince George County part of which I bought of Robert Moody." When Richard Haynes repatented his entire estate, this was included: "One hundred and fifty one Acres part thereof being formerly Granted unto Robert Moody by Letters Patent bearing Date the twenty second Day of June one thousand seven hundred and twenty two." Possibly your Moody goes to Robert? Notify Administrator about this message?
