Stephen was married to Susanah Culp. The best info that I have is that he was born in Ireland abt 1740, came to US in 1762 docking in Phildelphia with a sister Anna. They arrived in York County SC between 1787 and 1790 since Young was born in NC and the 1790 census finds them in York County. Before 1800 they moved to Chester County SC where Stephen died Dec 9 1822. I suspect they arrived in Orange County about 1779. They had nine children. Benjamin Franklin Kirk b 1810 is my wife's g-grandfather. I believe that much that has been posted about Stephen is confused with another Stephen b 1775 d 1820 in Jones County GA whose wife was Anna Womack. Many trees say that our Stephen had two wives. If you have any data prior to 1790, I would love to share and compare.
