If they were Quakers, one of the largest concentrations of Quakers during the Revolutionary War and later was in Guilford Co., NC. The college in Greensboro has extensive holdings for Quaker records.

Have you tried the on-line Colonial Records for North Carolina yet? There are many Weeks, Weaks, men listed in those records during the Revolutionary War era and the 1780 timeframe. Go to:
