ORANGE COUNTY NC COURT MINUTES, 1752-1761 , Book 1

Ordered that Henry REYNOLDS, William ARMSTRONG & Benjamin KING be appointed COmmissioners of the Roads between the County Line Creek & the Upper line of this County.
North Carolina Orange County: At a Publick (Sp) meeging for the Commissioners for Roads held at the house of James WATSON Esqr. on Monday August 5th. 1854 all whom were Present: Josian DIXON, Alexander MEBANE, James DICKIE, (Sic), James ALLISON, John PITTMAN, Joseph BOGGS, James HENDRICKS, Peter HILTON, Robert CATE, William RHODES, Robert IRWIN, Zachariah MARTIN, Jacob BROOKS, Thomas LOYD Commissioners.
Ordered that as it appears Mr. Lawrence BANCKSON having been obliged to attend the General COurt at the last Publick Meeting on the 22d. Day of April, that his fine for that time be Remitted.
Ordered that asit appears Mr. Josian DIXON was obliged to attend the Commissioners for runing the Boundary Lines of hthis COunty at the time that he should have met the Commissioners of the Roads thereford his fine for this time is Remitted.
Ordered that John HENDRICKS be appointed Overseer of the road in the Room of William BARNETT.
Ordered that Thomas CATE Junr. be Overseer from the Camp Branch to the Western Path in Robert Cates District & the Following persons work on the said Road: James MOSS, Henry HUNTER, John HASTINGS, John GRAY, Henry LEMON, James RAILEY, James DICKEY, CHarles FOGERSON, James TENNIN, Joseph CATE, RIchard CATE, Robert WILEY---
