We have copies of deeds and land grants for our ancestor Thomas Ramsey who lived in the Holly Shelter area of NC. I understand that is now in Pender Co. We would like to locate places like "Curry Comb Island", "Yellow Run", "White Oak Creek", but do not find them in the NC Gazateer. Can anyone advise us as to how to locate these places so that we can find where Thomas lived?
