Connie, I have yet found a marriae license of John Kinsey to Eleanor Filyaw, daughter of John, will of 1782. I strongly believe that Penny (Wells?)Kinsey? is their daughter and she married James Boney, son of Wimberk Boney.
Kinsey is a name down thru the generations, not Wells(only once thru Nancy Boney Wells). Kitty Linton notes and dates for Penny does not jive.
"Descendants of James Wells" by James Wells list James Boney as going south. I have researched this line and have corresponded with a descendant of most of their children. Also, have done same on the descendants of
G. F. Byrd Williams and Martha Wells line. Hope to publishe book soon.
Jacob Boney, James's brother, married Ann (Tama) Filyaw and their son is Morris Boney. Data on Morris Boney is found in the research by Emily Boney Bell, a copy of her data is found in the Butler Co., AL library. I also have a copy.
Would like to know what more you may have found on the Kinsey/Filyaw connection.
